Our own Gabe Grijalva will be biking from Canada to Mexico in May and June, including the portion from SF to LA as part of ALC. Gabe plans to begin his southward adventure on May 3 at the Canadian Border in Blaine, WA, and head south through Bellingham and Deception Pass to Oak Harbor:

(Note that due to recent landslide, the route along Chuckanut is closed, and we'll reroute most likely to the RSVP route.)On May 4 Gabe plans to continue south from Oak Harbor taking the ferry to Port Townsend, going across the Hood Canal Bridge, and getting to Silverdale for the evening:

The plan is to stay in hotels both nights.
It would be awesome to have some OCCers join in his first day or two. Without sag support, logistics are a bit challenging. Some options:
1.
If anyone is interested in driving and providing sag support, especially to drive riders from Seattle to the start and then from the finish back to Seattle, that would amazing. Please let us know.
2.
Amtrak runs trains (mostly sold out) and buses (not sold out) from Seattle to Bellingham that can bikes. I (Kevin) have a train reservation for the morning of May 3 to Bellingham and am tentatively planning to ride May 3 and 4 returning to Seattle via the Bremerton ferry the evening of May 4.
