Any Trappist beer lovers out there? If so, this one's for you! Orval Day 2025 is this Saturday, March 22nd and The BeerMongers will be hosting their annual celebration event in honor of it.
What is Orval Day? Orval Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the unique flavors and history of Orval Trappist Ale, a Belgian pale ale brewed at the Abbaye Notre-Dame d'Orval. Orval Trappist Ale: This beer is known for its distinctive taste, which is due to the use of natural ingredients, aromatic hops, and a special yeast called brettanomyces.
Join fellow Orval enthusiasts at The BeerMongers (SE 11th Ave) for their 15th Annual Orval Day starting at 3:30pm with La Femme Fromage (cheese). Also joining at 4pm will be the Pizza Gathering & Ninth and Fitzwater sandwich shop.
The absolute, without question, most beloved beer by Beermongers staff is Orval. Every year John Beermonger grabs his favorite apron, and we put together a special flight of different vintages from our cellar - only available that day!
They will also tap a few surprise beers that they think showcase brettanomyces in a fun way from @uprightbrewing @block15brewing and more...
