We’re excited to introduce Tempo Track, a new Sacramento-based community for adults looking to get back into track and field! Join us on Sunday, March 2, at 8 AM, at Fleet Feet Sacramento to learn more about Tempo Track, meet the founders and members, and shop with a one-day-only discount. Discover (or rediscover) your love for track & field!
Tempo Track is FREE and open to everyone (no prior experience required).
Tempo Track was founded in October 2024 by Vendela, Mikaela, and Jasmine. Vendela is a former collegiate heptathlon athlete and NAIA All-American at Jessup University, Mikaela competed in the 100m, 200m, and long jump in high school, and Jasmine participated in the 100m, 200m, and high jump.
Tempo is a USATF registered club, open to anyone 25 and up who wants to keep competing after high school or college. Most of their members are former high school athletes, getting back on the track for the first time in years—and many are competing again after 10+ years!
Track and field can often feel like an individual sport, and as an adult, it can feel even more isolating and daunting. That’s why Tempo was created: to make the sport approachable again by building a supportive community that encourages you every step of the way. Tempo helps you reconnect with events you loved in high school—and even try new ones you didn’t have the chance to back then.
Tempo practices every Sunday at 3pm, and it’s free and open to all.
