If the weather is better on Sunday then the hike will be moved to Sunday Nov 3.
Join us for a 10.6 mile hike that features a lake, is relatively flat. Trail runners use the trail so you can wear regular sneakers if you want to.
We will hike around the whole Green Lane Reservoir on the Blue, Perkiomen and Red trails. We should have awesome views, and encounter a variety of terrain from paved to gravel to dirt. Dogs are able to use the trial but must be kept on a leash. Note also that we may encounter horses on the trail.
Please make sure you bring plenty of water, sunscreen lotion, healthy snacks and a great attitude! We'll be hiking at least at 3mph so make sure you can do that on a treadmill!
We will meet in the ‘Green Lane Red Trail’ Parking Lot, Address: Green Lane Park, Green Lane, PA. This parking lot is on Knight Rd, very close to the intersection of Knight Rd. and Gravel Pike (Rt. 29). Lat/Long coordinates are: 40.353609, -75.484515. If you head north on Gravel Rd. turn left onto Knight Rd and pull into the first parking lot on your left.
Afterwards we’ll go to The Carriage House at 745 Gavel Pike East, Greenville PA 18401. Used to be a great Austrian restaurant but have new owners and is now a brewery. Worth checking out.
