The Chelsea Road Race is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2024. Held in Chelsea, Massachusetts, This 5k running event serves as a platform to promote healthy lifestyles in Chelsea and encourage community members to embrace running.
With a thoughtful route that honors the city's diverse cultural heritage, participants are encouraged to embark on a journey of discovery. Along the way, runners will encounter noteworthy landmarks, The course is designed for individuals with different skill levels, catering to both seasoned runners and casual joggers.
This year's event is particularly special as we run to commemorate Chelsea's 400th anniversary, making it a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community.
The Chelsea Road Race transcends being just a race; it stands as a celebration of our community’s past, present and future, and a collective journey towards a healthier, Happier more connected Chelsea.

Directions & Parking The race will kick off from Arlington St in Chelsea in front of the Williams Jr High School.
Parking info is to be determined so check back at a later date!
For transit: the race is a short distance from the Bellingham Square SL3 Silverline stop, a 10 minute walk from the Chelsea Commuter Rail Stop, or accessible via the 111, 116, or 117 bus
Bib Pick-up Bibs can be picked up in the days leading up to the race at the Arlington St Entrance of the Williams Jr High in Chelsea located at 180 Walnut St. The hours for this will be: Friday, September 6th between 4 PM and 8:30 PM Saturday, September 7th between 9AM and 4:30 PM or on race day, September 8th starting at 7:30 AM Course The course will reopen for road traffic 1 hour after the race starts. Participants can still finish but will have to utilize the sidewalks at that time.
A portion of the course will also be under construction previous to the race. Participants should look out for road plates and uneven pavement and exercise caution when passing these sections

T-Shirts & Medals All participants will receive an official event shirt and finishers will be awarded a commemorative medal
