🏃🏻Running distance / how the race works:
Download WFL app when you sign up. During the run, you need to hold your phone and have the WFL app open 🤳. Run until the Virtual Car 🚗 catches you. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 mins after the start at 8.7 mph (14 km/hr) and steadily increases speed once the last athletes have been “caught”.
We are meeting other participants/teams at the park, so will be a large group.
Starting at the West Bluff Picnic Area in San Francisco, CA, the route will take you through the Crissy Field multi-use path to the Little Marina Green Picnic Area. Participants will then circle back on either the paved or dirt path to the end of the Fort Point National Historic Site for an epic view under the Golden Gate Bridge before making your way back to the start area.
The full loop is approximately 5k in total and is designed to be ran multiple times allowing participants to come back through the start area to refuel as needed!
