This is a weekly training for all skill levels led by our amazing volunteer community coaches. Come work on your sand doubles beach volleyball skills, train for competition, make new friends, and enjoy the beach!
The Details:
•
Class runs from 10-12 every Sunday (weather permitting)
•
There are typically 8-12 nets with 8-12 players per net, organized by experience level.
•
Nets stay up after 12 for pick-up games. Pick-up games are a great way to meet people and flex your new volleyball skills!
Usual monthly schedule (mainly for advanced and upper intermediate groups who are comfortable playing doubles):
1st Sunday: serving/receiving
2nd Sunday: setting
3rd Sunday: attacking
4th Sunday: blocking/defending
5th Sunday: wildcard
What to bring:
•
Water
•
Sunscreen
•
Sunglasses and/or a hat
•
Layers
•
Snacks
•
Balls if you own (We provide a few balls per court, but the more balls the less everyone needs to shag)
Location & Parking:
We play at Ocean Beach (704 Great Hwy Parking, San Francisco, CA), near the large parking lot (with FREE parking) at the corner of Balboa Street and Great Hwy. We typically set up by Stairwells 1/2/3 at the North end of the parking lot known as Kelly’s Cove.
Want to Help Out?
•
We start setting up nets around 9/9:30. We love players who come early to lend a helping hand. (We are happy to teach you how)
•
You can also help us take nets down at the end of play.
-Rounding up balls after play is always appreciated.
-We encourage you all to pack in pack out your trash and pickup any trash you see near the training area.
